OEM electronics manufacturing trends have become increasingly dependent on outsourcing to reduce costs, improve return on assets, increase flexibility, and facilitate new product introductions utilizing advanced technologies. Our "Keys to Success for Optimizing the EMS Partnership" tutorial emphasizes Effective Supplier Selection and Management Processes from the OEM perspective, and Becoming a World Class Supplier from the EMS point of view (approximately 0.5 days each) The second half includes tools and strategies for Lean Manufacturing.

I sincerely feel that my background and focus these past 15 years (including the 5 at HP when we organized the Strategic Outsourcing Program and Commodity Team - - and 10 as a consultant) could far better meet their needs than local company teams, which often select suppliers for subjective or personal relationship reasons.

Also, I have assisted many large and small EMS Suppliers in their quest for world-class capability through face-to-face consulting on a worldwide basis. Finally, RKA was the first and may still be the only consultancy focusing exclusively on Outsourcing Excellence.
